Top 10 List Of "Best Buy" Public Universities For 2020 Includes ASU!
Arizona State University adds another feather to its cap by ranking in the Fiske Guide to Colleges 2020's top 10 list of ‘Best Buy’ public universities in the nation, which judged universities on the quality of their undergraduate academics in relation to cost.
The only school among Arizona universities to do so, ASU was recognized for its low student debt compared to other institutions. ASU scored the lowest median student loan debt five years after graduation in the state with $18,763, putting it ahead of University of Arizona with $18,995 and Northern Arizona University with $21,892.
A low student debt after five years can be attributed to income as a 2018 report reveals ASU graduates having the highest median earnings in Arizona at $50,475. NAU and UA graduates, on the other hand, were reported as having median income at $47,034 and $49,879, respectively.
With regards to state rankings, Arizona not only comes out with has one of the lowest national averages for student loan debt but it ranks fourth among low-debt states according to a 2018 Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR) data.
