The 18th Annual Tempe Healing Field Tribute Returns As A Virtual Event
The annual Tempe Healing Field tribute carried on its commitment to #NeverForget the lives lost on September 11th, 2001 this year as a virtual event broadcasted from the Healing Field Memorial Facebook page. Hosted by the Tempe Exchange Club, the nation’s second longest running Sept. 11, 2001 tribute event officially started at 5:46 a.m. when the first names were read. The tribute is traditionally held at Tempe Town Lake but even in virtual format, its message remains as powerful as ever to feel and hear as the community came together once more to honor the lives lost on that tragic event 19 years ago. To help commemorate this year's event, community members are requested to use the #HealingFieldAZ hash tag when sharing their photos and stories on social media. You can visit the tribute's website and Facebook page for more pictures and videos of this year's event.
As early as now, the event organizers are looking forward to making next year's event, the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 Attack on America, bigger and better than any of their previous events. The annual tribute is made possible by volunteers and financial donations. Interested parties can visit their website for more information on volunteering or donating for the event. In addition, a GoFundMe page has recently been created for the Tempe Healing Field.
