Scottsdale In Top 3 Retirement Spots In The US!
When only 23 percent of workers polled in the Employee Benefit Research Institute’s 2019 Retirement Confidence Survey expressing they were “very confident” that they will retire comfortably and only two in three workers at least somewhat confident, it seems pushing back your retirement plans by a few more years is a must if one wants a comfortable retirement. This coincides with a different poll done by Gallup revealing that the average age workers in 2019 plan to retire at is age 65, five more years to the age 60 retirement plans by workers from more than two decades prior.
However there is another solution which is to move to another location where you can get more value for your hard-earned dollars. This retiree-friendly cities offer affordable retirement while maintaining the best quality of life and a WalletHub report compared more than 180 U.S. cities across 46 key metrics that includes cost of living as well as taxpayer-friendliness (retired and otherwise) and recreational-friendliness.
Scottsdale ranks third in the financial research firm's report, with only Orlando and Tampa ranking higher than the Arizona city on the list. A popular area for "active adults" and retirees, Scottsdale gets impressive marks for quality of life with what it offers for the recreation and the arts.
Tempe and Tucson makes it to the top 50, occupying the 35th and 36th places respectively. Extend the list to the top 100 and the report adds five more retiree-friendly Arizona cities: Peoria, Gilbert, Chandler, Phoenix and Mesa.
