Gilbert, AZ Makes Top 10 Best Places For First Time Homebuyers!

2017 saw first-time buyers making up 38% of all U.S. single-family home purchases. And if 2018 looks like the year you'll be achieving the dream of homeownership, you might just be wondering which cities are favorable for first-time home buyers.

Wallethub had the same question and sampled 300 cities of various sizes across three key dimensions- Affordability, Real-Estate Market and Quality of Life- and 27 relevant metrics. Gilbert, AZ came out number 10 in the list while Chandler ranks a respectable 11th place in the Best Cities For First-Time Buyers.

Other noteworthy findings for Arizona cities in the Wallethub sample saw Phoenix make the Top 10 Best Large Cities by ranking fifth (Mesa made 11th). Gilbert, Chandler and Peoria crowded the middle rankings for Best Midsize Cities at 5th, 6th and 7th places respectively with Scottsdale rounding out this particular list at 10th.
