Developers: 1,500-Acre Amusement Park In Casa Grande, AZ Finalizing Anytime Soon
Plans for a 1,500-acre world-class entertainment amusement park and resort in Arizona is set to be finalized anytime soon, according to its Florida-based developers, The Blocks Sports Company.
Dreamport Villages would be located in Casa Grande near Interstate 10 and Interstate 8. It would feature the following attractions:
-An "Extreme Sports Park" called "The Block" offering exotic car driving experiences, Go-Kart tracks, zip lines, rock climbing and a 12-acre lake with two wakeboard cable systems
-An indoor water park and 300-room resort hotel
-"The Wild," an animal-themed amusement park with live animals, animal shows, canoe rides, a carousel, a log flume and a 300-room hotel.
-A 420,000-square-feet marketplace which will hosts restaurant, retail and office space
-A convention center and RV park
Plans for Dreamport Villages went public two years ago and remain mostly the same, save for a proposed ski mountain removed over concerns with its cost.
It's $4 billion is seen as causing the hold-up but developers are working with investors daily to secure fundings and get the project off the ground. Dreamport Villages is expected to be completed in seven to 10 years once the project is finalized.
