Arizona Among Top 10 Tax-Friendly US States!
Kiplinger.com updated their list of the 10 most tax-friendly US states for 2019. Based on an estimated tax burden for a married couple with a combined earned income of $150,000, dividend income in $10,000, two dependents and a $400,000 home with a mortgage, the list was meant to help would-be movers looking to relocate or take a job in another state gauge if their states taxes are likely increasing or decreasing.
Arizona makes the list as the ninth most tax-friendly US states on the back of below national average property and gas taxes. Its top state income tax rate of 4.5% has a fairly high threshold, applicable only for taxable income of over $159,000 for single filers and over $318,000 for joint filers, translating to relatively a few people getting taxed at that rate.
