Californians Flock To Arizona For Lower Taxes And Easier Lifestyle
It might come as no surprise but Californians are already on the move to more affordable, lower tax states like Arizona. According to census data between the middle of 2016 and up 2017, California experienced a net loss of over 138,000 people while Arizona gained more than 63,000 new residents. This migration trend which started off with mostly lower-income Californians has now included middle-income workers and retirees wishing to trade higher and increasing taxes for a more comfortable and affordable lifestyle.
More Californians are expected to move out in the next few years with 46 percent of respondents in a recent survey by the San Francisco Bay Area Council said they are likely to relocate to areas offering affordable housing options and better quality of life. And offer these Arizona does with its gorgeous scenery, amazing weather, excellent schools and employment opportunities!
Now when your buying power from the sale of your California home allows you to buy - or build- your Arizona dream home for a fraction of what it would cost in your former state, the decision to move is an easy one. Especially if you get to live in a community with open spaces, great amenities, easy access to freeways, shopping, dining and more!
